    Checklist for "The Perfect Quilt Top"

    1. Press & Square: Ensure your quilt top and backing are pressed flat with seams nested or pressed open. Backing fabric must be squared with straight edges so it loads evenly on the frame.

    2. Clip Your Threads: Trim any loose threads on the back of the quilt top so they don't show through lighter fabrics.

    3. The "Rule of 4": Your backing and batting must be at least 4 inches larger than your quilt top on all four sides. (Example: A 60" x 60" top needs a 68" x 68".)

    4. Stay Stitching: If your quilt has many pieces along the outer edge, we recommend a stay-stitch 1/8" from the edge to prevent seams from popping.
