    Checklist for "The Perfect Quilt Top"

    1. Press, Press, Press: Ensure your quilt top and backing are pressed flat. Seams should be nested or pressed open to avoid "lumps."

    2. Clip Your Threads: Trim any loose threads on the back of the quilt top so they don't show through lighter fabrics.

    3. The "Rule of 4": Your backing and batting must be at least 4 inches larger than your quilt top on all four sides. (Example: A 60" x 60" top needs a 68" x 68".)

    4. Stay Stitching: If your quilt has many pieces along the outer edge, we recommend a stay-stitch 1/8" from the edge to prevent seams from popping.

    5. Square It Up: Ensure your backing is squared and straight; this helps me load it onto the frame perfectly.
