Step into the world of Lots of Love - Killey
Step into the world of Lots of Love - Killey, where every stitch carries a story and a hug. (And yes, that's KEHL-lee, my great-grandma's beautifully unique maiden name!). This venture blossomed from deep reflection on the two incredible grandmas who shaped me. My logo itself is a testament to their enduring influence, merging their actual handwriting as a tribute to their crafty hands, strong spirits, boundless creativity, and overflowing lovability. The "Lots of Love" comes from cherished letters signed by one grandma, while the "Killey" uses the distinctive script of the other.
My grandmas, particularly the one who filled my childhood with hand-tied quilts, taught me that a quilt's truest purpose is to be loved into existence, not just admired on a shelf. I've always lived by this, using her gifted quilts daily, exactly as she intended. I vividly recall the time in high school when one particularly soft, cozy-backed quilt, a treasure from a Nappanee, Indiana auction with my grandpa, was finally too loved – worn beyond repair. My grandma, respecting my attachment, kept the original, and with my mom, scoured fabric stores to find a backing just as perfect and soft.
It's this philosophy of cherished use that defines Lots of Love - Killey. My passion is to craft durable, thoughtful keepsakes – quilts that are not only beautiful for life's celebrations but also comforting embraces during moments of sadness. Because at the end of the day, a quilt truly is a giant hug you can wrap yourself in.
